CSI: Miami Reruns a Tiger Woods Episode?

Submitted on December 5, 2009 No Comment

CSI: Miami retorted to Law And Order’s ripped from headlines episodes with an episode with a rather interesting scenario. And when I say interesting, I mean, with respect to the current news ‘headlines’!

CSI: Miami

The installment portrays a popular baseball celebrity with a model wife and two children (the usual perfect family routine) in a ‘serious condition’ after a car accident in the neighborhood. Naturally, CSI: Miami is called upon to probe the situation. With time, more information is revealed – again, a rather clichéd set of facts. As it turns out, the sportsperson had a quarrel with his model wife preceding the crash. However, it seems that the wife courageously smashed the car windows and hauled her spouse away from peril.

But, and there always is a but, unverified rumors state that the athlete was engaging in an affair around that time span. The final moments of the show illustrate a family dispute over the suspected mistress. The baseball player, angered by the accusation, stomps away while his partner proceeds to pursue him brandishing a baseball bat – yes, a baseball bat! It is now revealed that the car accident was actually a result of the infuriated wife attempting to shatter the back window of the car.

We wonder how the credits would roll on this show – perhaps with the fine print stating that the episode was inspired by the news.
