CSI: Miami is an American television series which is a spin-off of the known police procedural series entitled CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Just like the veteran series CSI, CSI: Miami revolves around the crime scene investigation department of Miami.

The South Florida team is composed of investigators and police officers who deals with the crimes occurring in Florida. The team mixes the new technology of solving crimes with the old fashioned police way of getting to the criminals who surrounds the crossroads of Miami.

CSI: Miami is led by Lieutenant Horatio Caine who is portrayed by actor David Caruso. Horatio leads his team in solving the crimes within Miami. Horatio was a former bomb expert and a forensic analyst. With his diverse expertise, he protects his team in any way possible.

The CSI: Miami team includes Detective Calleigh Duquesne, played by Emily Procter, as the ballistic specialist of the team. Calleigh is usually underestimated because of her built, looks and blond hair. Without their knowledge, Calleigh is a brilliant and dedicated scientist.

Detective Ryan Wolfe, played by Jonathan Togo, is also part of the team. Rex Linn also portrays the role of Sergeant Frank Tripp, the MDPD Homicide Detective. Eva LaRue is Officer Natalia Boa Vista in CSI: Miami. Omar Benson Miller acts as Officer Walter Simons while Adam Rodriguez is Detective Eric Delko in the series.

Also starring are Kim Delaney, Rory Cochrane, Sofia Milos, Khandi Alexander, Eddie Cibrian, and Megalyn Echikunwoke.
